Police footage showed the moment to a drug dealer who killed a love opponent and a love opponent was killed, which was removed from an aircraft at Manchester Airport as he returned to Britain and arrested.
The 31-year-old John Belfield was one of the four-confusing gangs who killed Thomas Campbell in Temside in July 2022 and moved to Brazil after the murder.
Mr. Campbell, 38, was in a relationship with Belfield’s former partner, Demi Lee-Driver.
Belfield was sentenced to life imprisonment in Manchester Crown Court on Friday, and ordered a minimum of 34 years and 261 days to spend in jail.
The Greater Manchester police said that Belfield fled to Manchester a day after the “frightening” murder, after going to North Wales before catching a boat for Ireland, Greater Manchester Police said.
He then traveled to Amsterdam, France, Spain and then Brazil before arriving at the former Dutch Colony Suriname on the north east coast of South America.
His journey home was very simple however.
A year after the murder, he was arrested in Suriname for drug offenses and sentenced to one year before returning to Manchester Airport.

On July 2, he was waiting for him to come home before provoking hours of tortured violence.

For two hours, Mr. Campbell was stabbed, strangled and hot liquid was put on their genitals, the test heard.
A post mortem examination revealed that he suffered more than 61 injuries.
After Mr. Campbell was “tortured for death”, DET SGT Paul Davis said Belfield “went to runaway from cowardly”.
When his colleagues went on a test in 2023, he said that Belfield sent messages from abroad “to influence the proceedings”.
DET SGT Davis said, “Belfield showed a complete deficiency of the victim and the true lack of repentance, which is a will for his character.”
During the investigation of the murder, the detectives analyzed hundreds of hours and about 3,000 demonstrations of CCTV, spoke to more than 200 witnesses and arrested 19 people, the force said.

Mr. Campbell’s father, Terry Campbell, said in his statement statement that there were “no words” to describe his family’s loss.
“We all live with a broken heart,” he said.
