New Delhi:A summit with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba will attend the center of the next week of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Japan and China at a summit with a summit and Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.
Modi will be ready for his visit to Japan and China on 29 August, the Ministry of External Affairs announced on Friday. According to the people familiar with the case, Chinese President Xi Jinping also expects to meet the margin of the SCO summit in the Chinese city of Tianjin, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
The journey has been against a recent melting in India-China relations and increasing arrangements on trade related issues between New Delhi and Washington. A trip to Japan expects many important results, especially in the areas of economic security and investment, people said.
The Ministry of External Affairs said that Modi will visit Japan from August 29 to August 30 at the invitation of Ishiba to attend the 15th India-Japan annual summit. This will be Modi’s first summit with Ishiba.
During the visit, the two leaders will review the special strategic and global partnership between India and Japan, including defense, security, business, economy, technology and innovation. People’s exchange of people and regional and global issues will also be involved in their discussions.
The ministry said, “The journey will confirm a long -term special bond of friendship between the two countries.”
In the second phase of his visit, Modi will visit China from 31 August to 1 September at the invitation of President Xi to attend the SCO summit in Tianjin. The ministry said that Modi will hold several bilateral meetings on the occasion of the SCO summit, but will not provide details.
People said that apart from Xi, Modi is expected to hold bilateral meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and several Central Asian leaders on the margins of the SCO Summit.
This will also be Modi’s first visit to China since 2018. In April-May 2020, bilateral relations were dropped at its lowest point in six decades due to military face-to-face on the line of real control (LAC), which started in 2020. The two sides reached an understanding to end the deadlock in the last October, and XI met in the city of Russian and agreed to revive many narrowness and agreed.
This week, the initiative was taken to normalize the relationship as a result of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s visit to India, which included “initial crops” in direct flights and border trade, to promote border delimitation and trade and investment flow.
