Relatives say that the bodies of a Sacramento County woman and her baby daughter have been found in their vehicle in a canal near Okdel.
Whisper Owen and his eight -month -old daughter Sandra McCarti were reported missing on 15 July. He was last seen in Fresno. Officials confirmed that Owen’s vehicle was seen on traffic cameras in the Atwater area when it was reported to be missing at night.
California Highway Patrol issued an endangered missing advice for the case.
On Sunday, the search group adventures with the objective and divers Juan Hardia went to a place in the rural West Okdel to search for mother and daughter.
Owen’s family tells CBS News Sacramento that the police pinged his phone, the previous pinge shows that he was in a canal in the area. The search group says Owen’s vehicle was pinned under a bridge. The bodies of Owen and McCarti were also discovered, the family said.
“This means that we can find some way to move forward and accept this loss. She has other children who have to find a way to move without their mother or her baby girl,” Richard Owen, said Whisper’s brother.
The search team of San Jokin County Sheriff Office responded in the field and said they are located in an adult and vehicle.
The California highway petrol will check how the vehicle ended in the water. The Fresno Police Department said that it sent two detectives to the scene on Sunday to continue its investigation.
