Law enforcement is struggling to prevent increasing sales of illegal tobacco in mini marts on British high roads, a BBC investigation revealed.
Teams of trading standards say they do not have resources to deal with organized crime gangs on suspicion of supplying some shops and said that profits are being earned, heroin and cocaine selling is at a parliamentary.
Trading standards have described the issue as a war, and that those who have no right to work in the UK have been found inside some shops.
HMRC says that the country costs at least 2.2 billion in lost revenue.
In response to our report, Home Secretary Yatete Cooper said that it was an insult that criminal gangs are trying to misuse our high roads and said that the government has increased raids and arrests for illegal work since the election.
