In the last summer, in replacing Emma Hayes in Chelsea, Sonia Bomstore probably faced the most difficult task in women’s football.
But you would not have guessed after a season in which Blues won the WSL, FA Cup and League Cup, and the Women’s Champions League lost in Barcelona in the semi -finals.
Despite being under the guidance of the French for only one year, Bright has formed a relationship with the same bumpstore that had done with the same bumpstore, who left Blues to take charge of the United States women’s national team.
“It is really special to be able to experience and to be able to experience two different managers,” Bright said.
“Still to feel that you have an open-door policy, I could have gone for anything, and she has been amazing even in summer.
“I know if I needed him, I could have gone to him. You feel really lucky.”
Bright said that it was “really fresh” to return to Chelsea training and is now encouraging to go for a new campaign.
He said, “I was eager to go back to the pitch and finally became pain free with my knee and it does not fly after every session and I am able to really walk down the stairs after a difficult day,” he said.
“I don’t think I ever lost the discussion, but I was so dry that I was ready for a break. But now I am ready for the first game and come back there.”
After winning the last six WSL title and claimed two cups competitions in the previous season, Chelsea women have major forces in football.
Prior to Friday, September 5 against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge, Bright said that his side would not rest on his laurel, especially after missing a reputed First Champions League.
“You can’t stand still,” he said. “You have to see every factor of the game, what we do and the Chelsea model.
“We achieved a lot, but we did not achieve something that we really want. We want to do all this again. We don’t just want that, we want everything. We want to be even better.
“Every other team has increased and is getting stronger and every team wants to win like us.
“It’s scary that we are going to another level, but it is an exciting part.”
