New York Met’s Ace Kodai Senga re-incorporated rotation in the final series before the All-Star break, a month after stressing its right hamstring.
Sangga allowed four runs-three earned-six hits in 3 2/3 innings during Saturday’s minor league injury rehabilitation, which began for double-e-Binghamton in Hartford. Sangga killed four, two went away and threw 44 out of 68 pitches for strike.
“Physically he feels fine,” manager Carlos Mendoza said on Sunday that Mats said before finishing his three-game series against Yennakis. “So we will see today, tomorrow, how they go and hope that he is making a start for us next time.”
The Seng was injured by CJ Abrams, covering the first base on a grounder, when he made a jump on the throw of Pete Alonso against Washington on 12 June.
