A music group has gathered £ 10,000 for charity by jamming on Uklales for 30 hours.
Southampton Ukalule Jam (SUJ) Four Local Charities: No Limits, Yellow Door, The Society of St. James and Mountbatten were raising money for Hampshire.
The jam started at 10:00 BST in the tower of God’s house on Saturday and continued for a total of 30 hours.
Suj’s founder Colin McCuke said: “This has been a very big group attempt … I am the most grateful.”
The group, which is free to connect and open with someone, meets every fortnight in Southampton in 1865.
They go away from traditional Ukalule music and prefer tunes from Ramones to Lady Gaga.
They are raising funds for Southampton Charity supporting young people, people have been made unsafe from domestic misconduct and homeless, and people need to care for measurement.
Mr. Macuke said: “Our music is always given with an chaotic spirit that emphasizes the excitement on the ability, we just like to have fun.”
He said that after performing in Southampton Marathon, he got the idea for funding.
“This question has crossed our mind that how long can we really play?” He said.
“So we thought we would find out by challenging our group.
“The group is fuel only by an endless supply of enthusiasm, determination to raise as much money as possible for local donations, and perhaps a little coffee, cake and sweets.
“This has been a very large group attempt, people have enthusiastically enthusiastically in the organization of their skills and talents and the organization of this thing.
“I have mostly left for those not only with a sense of gratitude for those who have created those beautiful donations, but also for the jam and around the people who have already supported this foolish idea.”
