The Homeland Security (DHS) Department (DHS) has said that a person with a rifle and strategic gear was shot dead by the police after setting fire to a border patrol facility in Texas on Monday morning.
Two officers and a border patrol employee were injured in the attack, shooting in the knee. Officials said the three were sent to the hospital for treatment.
The shooting took place near the US-Maxico border, an American border at the entrance of annex of the patrol region in McClane, Texas.
The McLene police have identified the suspect as 27 -year -old Ryan Lewis Mosquito. He has no known criminal record and has an address in Michigan. Police said that a motive has not been determined yet.
Shooting was around 06:00 local time (11:00 GMT), McClen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez said that the suspect removed the “several dozens of rounds” towards the agents towards the border patrol building and inside the building. The agents again opened fire and killed the suspect.
Rodriguez said that the suspect arrived at Texas with a Michigan -tag vehicle, and was reported missing a few hours before the shooting from a address in Veslaco, Texas – 18 miles (28 km) east of McLeen.
Police also found other weapons and ammunition inside the vehicle.
Images of the scene suggest that the driver of the vehicle was spray-painted with “cordis dye”, a Latin phrase that means “heart day”.

In an interview by Fox News on Monday evening, US Border Zar Tom Homan connected the phrase on the suspect’s car to the call of duty game.
Homan also demanded a rhetoric from the Democratic MPs for the attack, representative Praila Jaipal referred to the “A terrorist force” and the house minority leader Hakim Jeffis to the House Minority Leader Hakim Jeffrees compared to the immigration agency in Guestopo.
“As long as we prevent disgusting rhetoric against snow, border patrol, comparing them to the Nazis, life is going to suffer more loss of life,” he said.
“They are only implementing laws which were implemented by the Congress.”
One of the officers injured in the exchange is a 10 -year experienced with the McLene police department. He was shot in the knee and he is recovering in the hospital.
Police said no federal officials were shot or injured.
The building where the shooting took place is located near the McLen Airport, which is motivated to temporarily shut down the traffic.
The FBI has now occupied the investigation, Rodriguez said, the police have no reason to believe that there are more threats for the community.
