A person has been found guilty of raping and killing his former fiancé at a luxury hotel of Surrey last year.
61 -year -old James Cartright was convicted after three and a half weeks of test in Guildford Crown Court
The body of 54 -year -old Samantha Mikaleberg was found last April at the five -star Penihil Park Hotel of the bagshot.
From the exhibitions in Devon, two-two, agreed to live in a twin room with a cartridge because he was told to “don’t want to feel alone” on her birthday.
He called the next morning on 999, claiming that he had discovered the dead next to him on the bed.
A jury unanimously convicted him of murder and rape but acquitted him with controlled or tremendous behavior.
The loved ones of Ms. Mikaleberg cried in the court after the verdict and hugged each other after hearing.
Mr. Justice Murray set the date of sentence for August 8 and told Cartright that he would be sent to custody by then.
Cartright, who did not respond to visually because the jury gave his decisions, thanked the judge before leaving the dock.
During the test, the gamblers were told that they had laid Ms. Mikaleberg in thousands of pounds to help resume a property purchased in early 2023.
He claimed that he owes about 100,000 pounds at the time of his death.
The pair lived together and engaged later that year, in which Cartright proposed on a beach during a holiday.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) described the Cartaright as a “vicious and deadly attack”, taking advantage of the kindness of Ms. Mikaleberg.
Moses Koroma from CPS said, “The jury directly looked through the claims of the Cartright that all this resulted in falling out of his bed”.
He said, “As soon as he called 999, he started weaving his web of lies, told the police that Samantha had asked him to go back and he was due to getting married a few months later,” he said.
“A very different picture emerged as their relationship with their relationship, Samantha spoke about his life behind the closed doors with friends and family.”
