An anonymous star of strictly low dancing has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
The Metropolitan police said that the person arrested on Friday had a suspicion of “non-consciousness intimate image misuse”. He was released on bail on Saturday.
A BBC spokesperson told BBC News: “It would not be appropriate to comment on the ongoing police investigation.”
It is understood that development is not strictly related to the upcoming series, which begins in a few weeks and currently in production.
It is not known what role the person was arrested in the program.
The Met statement stated that the arrest “follows the third party allegations of crimes related to sexual and drugs”.
It states: “This is a joint investigation with Heartfordshire Constable and when the investigation is in its early stages, we urge anyone with any information to come forward for us.”
The force granted bail till a date by the end of November, Bal said.
Strictly, which has been aired since 2004 and has been mainly filmed at Elstory Studios, has faced several controversies related to the behavior of some of its professionals and celebrity guests over the years.
Separately, the BBC began an investigation into the alleged drug use by two stars of the show earlier this month, which is not named.
