Nagpur police arrested a person to threaten to bomb the residence of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Wardha Road in Nagpur district of Maharashtra. The incident increased security in the senior house of the BJP leader. The accused, known as Umesh Vishnu Raut, was detained by the police and is now in police custody.
According to the police, the city control room received a call on the emergency number 112, which warned that Gadkari’s palace residence would be blown within ten minutes. The call was detected on mobile number 7498579746, which was registered in the name of Umesh Vishnu Raut, which was near Tulsi Bagh Road, Mahal, Beta Dashana, Sakkardara.
On this, DCP Nagpur, S. Rushikesh Reddy said, “We have received a call in which someone claimed that he had put a bomb in Nitin Gadkari’s house, and it is going to explode. Immediately, we activated the bomb squad and informed about the security of the house. We are also taking a journey.

The accused Raut, who works at a liquor shop near the medical square, was detained from the insurance area shortly after the threatening call. He is currently in police custody for further inquiries, and the motive behind the danger is under investigation.
DCP Reddy further said, “We discovered the call and located the caller. We filed an application and arrested him; he is now in our custody. The investigation is going on to determine why he did this. We have arrested a person named Umesh Raut. The call was made with his phone number … he has no criminal history and no previous case against him … he is a server.”
Police officials confirmed that the security around Gadkari’s residence was intensified after the incident.
