According to law enforcement officials, Florida officials arrested a person on Tuesday morning after searching a loaded AR -15 rifle and several knives inside a rental vehicle parked in a restricted area at Palm Beach County Airport.
Palm Beach County Sheriff Office (PBSO) depot responded around 7:10 am when the airport operating staff reported a suspected person standing outside a black colored vehicle in a safe parking area.
When the depot arrived, he found the man, who was later identified as Michael Rodrigues, 41, outside the vehicle, allegedly wearing clothes. Deputies determined that the vehicle was of one rental and opened the glove compartment to recover the rental agreement. Inside, he found a fully filled AR-15 magazine.
A complete discovery of the vehicle exposed the AR -15 rifle and several knives hidden under a blanket on the seat. The man was taken into custody without an incident and is currently being interviewed by detectives.
