Delhi Police on Saturday said an official that Delhi Police arrested a woman and her lover to allegedly plot and kill her husband and dump their body in a drain in Sonipat, Haryana.
The arrested accused have been identified as Sonia (34), a resident of Alipur in Delhi, and her 28 -year -old lover Rohit, who lives from Sonipat, said another accused in the case, Vijay, absconding.
He said that along with the murder, the victim was murdered with derogatory and criminal behavior.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Harsh Indora said, “The victim, Pritam Prakash (42), there was a known history-shrine in Alipur. He had more than 10 cases, including arms acts, drugs and psychotropic substances, and also under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.”
On July 5, 2024, Pritam came to Gunore in Sonipat to pick up Sonia from his sister’s house, but left after an argument. That day, Sonia offered 50,000 asked her sister’s brother -in -law to win and kill her husband. Later, when Pritam returned and pleaded with her, Sonia allowed her to stay at home.

Vijay killed Pritam and threw his body into a drain
However, when she slept on the roof that night, Vijay killed Pritam and threw her body into a drain near Agwanpur. Vijay sent him a video of the body on social media, which was later removed.
On July 20, Sonia filed a missing complaint with the Alipur police, claiming that her husband had gone out and never returned. While the case was initially considered as a report of a regular missing person, it raised doubts when there were no financial or digital footprints of the victim for several weeks.
During the investigation, the team discovered the mobile number associated with the Pritam, which was again active after about a year. Monitoring revealed that the phone was being used in Sonipat, leading the team leading to Rohit. Police said Rohit initially misled the investigators, but later broke and accepted the crime.
Rohit told the police that he was in a relationship with Sonia and the two had conspired to kill Pritam, DCP Indora said. She admitted that Sonia allegedly paid Vijay to end her husband.
Haryana Police recovered an unknown male body
At the same time, the Haryana Police recovered an unknown male body from the area, but was unable to identify it. The matter remained unresolved until the Delhi Police added the dots after about a year.
Police said Sonia later sold Pritam’s auto rickshaw 4.5 lakh and Rohit was given his mobile phone. Protected DNA samples will now be used to identify the body during Haryana post -mortem.
Sonia was about 15 years old when she fell in love with Pritam and got married against the wishes of her families. The DCP said, “The marriage was never informed to the police by the families, who later accepted the couple. They have three children, including three children from Velock, including 16 -year -old boys and two daughters.”
He said that Rohit was earlier involved in four criminal cases related to murder and weapons occupation. Rohit, who married in April 2025 and worked as a private cab driver, continued her additional relationship with Sonia.
The police is searching for Vijay, who is currently absconding, DCP Indora said.
