Live Ed was a global phenomenon that occurred at the same time, in two different places, all in Ethiopia were focusing on helping to increase money and awareness for famine relief.
Two concerts were held on July 13, 1985 at the JFK Stadium in Vambali Stadium in London and JFK Stadium in Philadelphia. The show was aired to an estimated 1.9 billion people in 150 countries, making it one of the largest broadcasting programs at that time.
Philadelphia consisted of the impressive line-up in Madonna, Tina Turner and Mick Jagger, while in London, icons such as Elton John and Queen captured the stage at the Wambley Stadium.

The English Rock Band, Queen, captured the stage at the Wambali Stadium for a historic, 20 -minute set. Under the leadership of Frontman Freddy Mercury, the band was on the verge of breakdown before performance.
Mercury died a few years after Live Ed in 1991. The 73 -year -old Basist John Dekon, after the death of Mercury, generally retired from queen and music.

Lead guitarist Brian, 77, continued after the death of Mercury and built single albums, “Back to the Light” and “Another World.”
Drummer Roger Taylor, who co-established the queen with mercury, continues to make music.
Tina Turner

Tina Turner was another incredible artist in Live Ed. During a song, Mick Jagger also performed with the icon.
Turner died in May 2023.

While Mick Jagger performed with Tina Turner in Live Ed, she also took a stage to perform single hits like “just one more night” and “Miss You”.
Jagger, known as the lead singer of rolling stones, is currently performing at 81.

Rolling Stones were scheduled to visit in 2025 but canceled their UK and European shows. The band is still allegedly going on a tour in 2026.

Elton John was one of the many English musicians performing at the Wambley Stadium.
John, 78, is still making music. His latest album with Brandy Carlil, “Hu Tavu in Angels?”, Was released in April.

Bob dylan

Bob Dylan was an artist in Live Ed. During his performance, he broke a guitar string while playing with members of Rolling Stones Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood.
Wood finished his guitar dylan to finish his set, surviving the wooden guitar -free platform.
40 years later, 84 -year -old Dylan continues to make music and several seizures are determined for the rest of this year.

The English singer died of liver cancer in 2016 after 18 months of fighting. He died in January exactly two days after his 69th birthday.

Michael died of heart failure in 2016, due to myocarditis and a fatty liver diluted cardiomyopathy. He was 53 years old.

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers performed in Live Aid 40 years ago. The group performed its hit, “American Girl”.
Paytm died in 66 in 2017. The cause of his death was ruled by a casual overdose by the medical examiner of Los Angeles.
