PLYMOUTH, Mich. – Saturday’s Semifinals at the LIV Golf Michigan Team Championship proved to be another dramatic day of match play. After multiple matches came down to the end, it was Legion XIII, Crushers GC and Stinger GC moving on to Sunday’s stroke-play final.
Coming into the Semifinals, HyFlyers GC looked to be the underdog poised to make a run to the title, but they were narrowly defeated by No. 1 seed Legion XIII. Captain Jon Rahm set the tone by beating HyFlyers GC Captain Phil Mickelson, 3&1. Cameron Tringale improved to 7-0 in singles match play on LIV Golf by defeating Tyrrell Hatton, who has fallen to 2-1 in singles over the past two seasons. The young pairing of Tom McKibbin and Caleb Surratt came through for Legion XIII for the second straight day, beating Brendan Steele and Andy Ogletree, 3&1.

Crusher GC and Smash GC were all in a tight match, in which crusher GCs were eventually coming to the top. Captain Bryson Decombo chose Tallor Gooch instead of Smash GC Captain Brooks Koipka. After the selection on Friday, KOP said, “I don’t know what [DeChambeau] Was afraid. ,
The decision paid as decombo defeated Gooch 1, playing very well with both the players.
“He is a mill and a fighter, and I know he is a battler,” Decombo said about Gooch after the match. “Hat off for your game.
Koipka defeated Aniran Lahiri 1 up. With the match 1–1 equal, it came to Foursoms, in which Charles Hellow III’s new Fourse Duo and Paul Casey won 2 over Jason Cocrak and Graeme McDowell.
Stinger GC, the lowest seed (7th) to go to the final, was roaring the crowd and defeated Torque GC. Mito Perera pressed Brandon Grace by creating a bedi on three of his first four holes and eventually defeated him 4 and 2. Dean Brsster, who led the ground in Burdies on Friday, continued his strong game by holding 2 ups to Live Golf’s all-time victory leader Jokin Neemon.
“I was clearly 4-up with seven or eight holes, and I knew that I still had to kill good shots,” Bermster said. “He is a class player, and he proved it. He made five birdies in six holes there, and I did not clearly. We all got it in the last hole.”

The dynamic pair of Louis Oshuisen and Char Squartzel took business care against the strong pair of Sebstian Munose and Carlos Orties, 2 and 1. Oosthuizen and Schwartzel’s match is a long history of joining together in the play, which dating back to the 2013 Presidents Cup.
In consolation matches, Ripper GC defeated Rangegats GC (2–1), 4 accesses GC defeated Magastics GC (3–0) and Fireball GC defeated Click Golf Club (2–1).
In the last round of Sunday, all twelve players of Legion XIII, Crushers GC and Stinger GC will first go away from T, with all four scores to see who will be crowned as 2025 live golf team champions.
