Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is delaying the action report on the fire of Palisads until the ongoing federal investigation is completed.
According to Bass, the delay is a result of the US Attorney Office, requesting that LA city leaders temporarily release their release, as it continues to be investigated as alcohol, tobacco, firearm and explosive bureau.
Some community groups have criticized the delay, arguing that the residents are worth replying to the response of the city, even the federal investigation is on.
Under the California Act, local governments need to provide an action report after all declared disasters. The US Attorney’s office is investigating to indicate what caused the historic explosion in January.
