An off-duty NYPD officer was badly shot in Manhattan on Monday, identified as 36-year-old Didarul Islam, with two wife pregnant with his third child.
Islam, an immigrant in Bangladesh, was one of the four people, when 27 -year -old Shane Tamura set fire to a Midtown Manhattan office building on Monday evening. Las Vegas Tamura, who lives with the history of mental health issues, began shooting in the lobby before going to the second floor and later turned himself a gun.

The office building placed both Blackstone, an investment firm and NFL headquarters among other companies. When he was killed, the Islam was doing security work for the building.
