Sibal said that he tried to talk to Dhankhar but there was no response, and many politicians have shared a similar experience with him. “What should we do? Should we file a captive corpus?” He asked. In his earlier responsibilities as Dhankhar, Governor and VP of Bengal, he was very vocal and active in public life, but he has not spoken anything on social media since his resignation on July 21 as VP.A swipe in the government, Sibal said that Dhankhar supported the government during his tenure, but now it seems that the opposition will have to protect it. On X, he wrote, “Can we be informed: where is that? Is he safe? Why is he?”Earlier in the day, Sibal said that he had heard of the film ‘Missing Ladies’, but never heard of “missing vice -president”. He also said that the Ministry of Home Affairs would know about the hideout of Dhankhar and Shah should make a statement as to where the Dhankhar is. “Is he undergoing treatment somewhere? His family members have not said anything. What is the issue? We had only heard of such things in other countries, but India is democratic, so such things should be in public domains,” Sibal said.Meanwhile, sources said that the government will soon have to decide on the new house of Dhankhar as the VP Enclave will have to study for its successor. TOI has so far learned that there has been no communication from the government to the Ministry of Housing in relation to the new house of Dhankhar. News network
