A bus mourning with a funeral crashed in western Kenya, causing 25 people to be killed, said by local authorities.
A police report seen by the BBC said that the driver lost control, got out of the road and the Kisumu-Kakamaga overturned in a ditch along the highway. The region is notorious for many deadly accidents.
Police said 10 women, 10 men and a girl died on the spot, in which 20 passengers were injured, five of them seriously. Officials said four people died in the hospital.
Passengers were returning from a burial ground and all are considered from a family.
The cause of the accident is not yet clear, the police said.
The vehicle was a secondary school bus, but there were no students on the board as it was being used for funeral transport.
The bus was coming from a burial ceremony in Nyahera and was going to Nyakach, about 62 km (38.5 mi).
The Ministry of Health of Kenya made a call for “immediate blood drive” to help the remaining people and extended its sensation for “bereaved”.
It also urged motor drivers to take precautions, especially the country is related to many deadly road accidents.
Kenayi President William Ruto attributed the X for the officials to “responsible for any acts of negligence and asked to address all traffic violations to ensure road safety across the country.
The National Transport and Safety Authority of Kenya said that they would assist in investigation due to the accident.

Local media said nine people died on Thursday when a bus collided with a train in Nauvasha city, local media said. According to media reports, seven people were killed in another accident near Nairobi on Saturday.
