The jury will continue to consult after reaching a partial decision in the test of scene “Didi” Comombs, but the deadlock on the most serious allegation faced by hip-hop Mogul.
In the Federal Court in New York, 12 gamblers announced that they had agreed in four out of five cases, but were unable to decide on the racketering charge, which bear a possible life gel period.
The atmosphere was tense because the rapper was tilted, the hand was folded in his lap. His lawyers sometimes put their weapons. Discussions will start again on Wednesday morning.
The 55 -year -old Mr. Comombs has requested not to be guilty for all five allegations including sex trafficking, racketering and transportation to engage in prostitution.
On Tuesday (20:30 GMT) at around 16:30 EDT, the jury announced that they had reached four of the five cases after two days of deliberations.
Judge Arun Subramanian heard the arguments from both the prosecution and the rescue as to urge the gamblers before going ahead.
The prosecution urged the judge to use an allen charge, a set of instructions given to a hung jury to suppress its members to reach a unanimous decision.
Allen’s allegations are controversial, as some people believe that they may put inappropriate pressure on injuries, forcing them to turn their stance or cave to a peer pressure – especially when their opinion is in minority.
Forcerson eventually sent a note to the judge, stating that the jury was finished for the day.
They will return on Wednesday, and potentially continue on 3 July – when the court normally closes on 4 July before a public holiday.
In the last two months, the jury has heard from 34 witnesses, which includes former-girlfriends, former employees of Sri Comombs, male escorts and federal agents.
The defendant, who has also gone under the name Pafi, Puff Daddy, P. Didi, Love and Brother Love, is a famous person in the music industry.
In 2023, he released his fifth record The Love Album: Off the Grid and earned his first single nomination at the Grammy Awards. He was also named a global icon at the MTV Awards.
