As the opposition parties have united against the BJP on charges of “vote theft”, Trinmool Congress (TMC) leaders Yusuf Pathan and Lalitesh Pat Tripathi are set to join the voter Sadikar Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi on their concluding day in Patna on Monday.
TMC MP Yusuf Pathan said that he was instructed by West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamta Banerjee and party leader Abhishek Banerjee to join the voter Abhikar Yatra.
TMC leader Yusuf Patna said, “We are going as representatives of Trinmool Congress.
Party leader Tripathi, who is also attending the rally as a representative of TMC, said that the case of ‘vote theft’ will be raised in every state.
“We are going there on the instructions of CM Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee. We will stay on the journey all day. This is the biggest issue in the country. This case of ‘Vote Chori’ will gradually be caught in every state. It is our responsibility to raise our voice and save democracy for the constitution of the country.”
Many other India block leaders have participated in the journey at various points. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, CPI (ML) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi, and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin have attended the rally.
Other Chief Ministers including Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, Himachal CM Sukhwinder Sukhu, and Telangana CM Revantha Reddy participated in the yatra.
The 16 -day visit, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was taken by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to highlight the alleged case of ‘Vote Chori’ (vote theft), and alleged irregularities in the voter list by the Election Commission of India (ECI), Patna for Patna for Patna on 1 September.
The rally started on August 18 with Rahul Gandhi and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashvi Yadav Sasram riding together. From there, the rally reached 25 districts, Aurangabad, Gaya, Siwan and others.
Congress General Secretary (Organization) KC Venugopal said that the yatra has been a “ray of hope” against “destructive destruction of democracy”.
Block leaders of India visited about 110 assembly constituencies in the pole-bound state, with a distance of more than 1,300 km, and saw the presence of several leaders.
