Jammu: A joint anti-operation in J&K’s Kishtwar district entered its second day in a densely forest belt of crushed-chaatru, security forces were trapped within a fork to comb the area to hunt two to three Jai-e-Mohammed terrorists in the region.The operation was started late Wednesday night based on intelligence input about the movement of terrorists in the Kanjal Mandu region. A search party hunting for ultras came under fire, triggering an encounter. Officials said that after a brief exchange of bullets, the guns fell silent, and no more contact was made with Holi-up terrorists till late Thursday night.Official sources said that additional soldiers, drones and snifler dogs were planted to assist the operation and plugged the routes to avoid possible. Security forces have broken the weather conditions and hostile terrain to track ultras.Kishtwar is located on the traditional infiltration route of terrorists entering through the International Border, before going to Kashmir Valley via Doda and Kishta, moves towards the upper reach of Katua and then Udhampur.
