Vice President JD Vance slammed MSNBC host Jane Pisaki on Thursday after criticizing the prayer after shooting the Announcement Catholic School in Minnesota.
In an X post, Vance defended the prayer in view of the tragedy and demanded to find out why the former White House press secretaries would attack the practice, when praying to the children killed a day earlier.
“We pray because our hearts are broken. We pray because we know God listens. We pray because we know that God works mysteriously, and can motivate us to take further action,” Vance said, “Why do you feel the need to pray on other people when the children were just praying?”

Police on Wednesday identified the shooter responsible for opening the fire at the Announcement Catholic School in Miniapolis, where he said that two children were killed and 17 others were injured during the morning month.
Vance’s comment came in a direct response to Pisaki’s Wednesday post, which slammed people to offer ideas and prayers in response to the tragedy.

In a separate post, PSAKI also used tragedy to criticize the crime of Trump administration in Washington, DC
“When children are being shot in their pews in a Catholic school month and your crime plan is to keep the Mulch down around the DC, maybe rethink your strategy.”
