New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his two -day visit to Japan on Saturday and went to China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting.In a social media post on X, the Prime Minister thanked his Japanese counterpart and said the journey would be remembered “for productive results that will benefit people of our nations.,He said, “This journey to Japan will be remembered for productive results that will benefit the people of our nations. I thank PM Ishiba, Japanese people and the government for their warmth.”On PM Modi’s two -day visit, India and Japan signed six agreements, seven MoU, and eight new announcements.One of the most important announcements was Japan’s commitment to JPY 10 trillion private investment in India over the next ten years.Earlier in the day, PM Modi and Shigeru Ishiba also traveled from Tokyo to Sandai in a bullet train.PM Modi also met governors from 16 Japanese provinces in Tokyo and called for strong state-secret cooperation under the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership, said the Ministry of External Affairs.On Friday, PM Modi addressed the India-Japan Economic Forum, where he picked for partnership in the areas of manufacturing, technology, innovation, green energy and skill development. He said that the world is not only looking at India, but also counting it on it.He echoed the Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba’s remarks on the stage and said, “Japan’s excellence and India’s scale can create a right partnership.”PM Modi said, “It is a huge potential for solar cells or green hydrogen, partnership. An agreement has been signed between India and Japan on the joint credit mechanism. Taking advantage of this, a clean and green future can be collaborated,” PM Modi said.PM Modi also met former Japanese PMS Yoshihide Suga and Fumio Kishida in Tokyo.PM Modi said that with former Japanese PM Yoshihide, he discussed ways to deepen India-Japan cooperation.“I held a very good meeting with former Japanese Prime Minister and President of Japan-India Association, Mr. Yoshihide Suga. We talked about many dimensions of India-Japan cooperation and how we can deepen it. Our discussions covered how to build close cooperation, including technology, AI, business, investment and beyond,” PM Modi said in a post.
