A former reform UK MP has been approved by the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner on an charge, in which he did not declare financial interest.
James McMardock, who Now sits as an independent MP For South Basildon and East Thurrock in Essex, there are directors of a health and fitness firm.
The commissioner of parliamentary standards did not retain the complaint, but said that their unpaid direction should now be registered in their parliamentary interests.
McMardock said that “malicious attack was” “unsuccessful”.
Labor MP John Peers questioned whether McMardock violated the rules.

The inquiry report by Standard Commissioner Daniel Greenberg said that McMardock had said that he was advised during induction in Parliament “that this specific interest was not required to register”.
“Although this advice was not eligible as formal safe port advice, I decided that it was appropriate for Mr. McMardock that he was dependent on the advice that he was given and therefore did not maintain the charge,” Mr. Greenberg said.
However, Mr. Greenberg said that the advice given in the induction session was “wrong”.
After the last July general election by McMurdock, his seat was ranked second with only 98 votes.
