Former conservative MP and party president Sir Jake Berry has announced that he is blaming the UK for improvement.
Writing in the sun, Sir Jake said: “Old Westminster politics has failed. But there is a better way.”
He said that he was supporting the UK reform “because I have always admitted that the change comes with challenging the old order. When it is not working, in shaking the system”.
Sir Jake became the second former Cabinet Minister to join Nigel Faraz’s party this week after former former-former Secretary Sir David Jones. Taking this step on Monday.
After Sir David, Ross Thompson and Anne Mary Morris, he is the fourth former conservative MP to switch to reform.
Sir Jake represented Rosendel and Lancashire constituency in Darvewen from 2010 to 2024, when he lost his seat for labor.
During his time in Parliament he was a close aide of Boris Johnson and served several positions as the Cabinet Office and Northern Power Station Minister.
