Singer Z Thirlwall criticized the British Rock Band The 1975 Frontman Matty Heli, recently commented saying that he wanted to stay out of politics.
“I don’t think you can be a pop artist and cover your eyes,” Thirlwall told The Guardian in A Recently interview,
“I noticed that Mattie Heli said she did not want to be political, which I found disappointing,” she said. “It is very easy for someone who is white and straight and it is very privileged to say. Good for you, hun!”

“Those who are watching this May – I don’t know – they may be disappointed in the show and perhaps our upcoming shows and perhaps our future shows. I want you to know that this is a conscious decision,” Heli Told the crowd“We do not want our heritage to be one of politics. We want it to be of love and friendship. I am not trying to be very earnest, but you can go out in the world and have politics everywhere. And I think we do not need much politics. We need more love and friendship.”
However, during the performance – as reported by the Variety – the band played “Love It IFM Made It”, one of his most political songs, along with a Montaz, was characterized by President Donald Trump, Kanye West images and scenes depicting the struggles of immigrants.
