New Delhi: Two terrorists were killed as security forces thwarted an intrusion bid along with the Line of Control (LoC) in Gurez sector of Jammu and Kashmir, the army said on Thursday.The name of Operation, NAUSHERA NAR IV is being done jointly by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP).“Based on an intelligence input from JKP about an attempt to infiltrate a possible infiltration, a joint operation was started in the Gurez sector. Alert soldiers saw the suspected movement and challenged the intruders, who opened the fire indiscriminately. The soldiers effectively retaliated, neutralizing two terrorists,” Army’s Sarinagar-Chinnagar Caps said in a statement.

Chiner Corps said the operation is still going on.On Monday, security forces also thwarted an infiltration attempt into the URI region of the union region. Earlier, on August 13, a soldier was killed in action, while the soldiers were making a similar bid in the same area.
