Apple has released the final iOS 26 Public Beta, providing users access to new features before the launch of the iPhone 17 series.
Apple has released the last public beta of iOS 26, only a few days before the official launch iPhone 17 Series on 9 September. This update serves as the concluding phase of the test before the final version, comes with Apple’s next generation tools. This rollout gives users another chance to try the upcoming software before its broad release.
Apple first introduced iOS 26 during its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June 2025. Unlike the earlier release, the company changed its numbering system by skipping versions through 19 through 25. The new name now matches the year, which makes iOS 26 a specified version for 2025. Apple says that the change is to simplify the version recognition for users.

Update also brings many notable changes in design and functionality. One of the major changes is the “liquid glass” interface, which defines the appearance of the operating system. Users who want to install iOS 26 public beta can use it by taking admission in the beta program of Apple. Once registered, the update can be downloaded through the following steps:
- Open the setting app
- Select General
- Choose software updates
- Download and install iOS 26 beta
