Saudi Arabia recorded a sharp increase in international tourism revenue during the first quarter of 2025, with foreign visitors spent SR49.4 billion ($ 13.16 billion), according to new data published by the Ministry of Tourism. This figure represents an increase of 9.7% compared to the same period in 2024. In relation to the above data, the Kingdom also posted a travel surplus of SR26.8 billion ($ 7.14 billion) in the balance balance during the quarter, marking 11.7% year-to-year growth. These figures were detailed in the ministry report for the month of May, using travel item data in balance of payment. The Ministry of Tourism blamed the Kingdom’s tourism infrastructure, promote international arrival and bounce for strategic efforts aimed at increasing the quality of services and experiences offered across the country.
