Andrew Kuomo says he is making a distance.
The former three-Term Governor, the Governor of New York, who was defeated by a double-point by Democratic Socialist Zoharan Mamdani at Democratic Mayorl Primary in New York City last month, announced on Monday that he would continue his general election as an independent candidate.
“Only 13% of New Yorkers voted in June primary. The general election is in November and I am to win it,” Cumo announced in a video posted on social media.
And Kuomo alleged that “My opponent, Mr. Mamdani Slik offers slogans but there is no real solution.”

Mamdani’s primary victory over Cumo and nine other candidates three weeks ago shook the Democratic Party, and promoted a 33 -year state assembly from Queens to Uganda to become the first Muslim mayor of the nation’s most populous city.
