New Delhi: The Supreme Court said on Tuesday that this poll-bound is a large-scale exclusion of names after the ongoing special intensive amendment (SIR) of the election role in Bihar. A bench, including Justices Surya Kant and Joylya Bagchi, told the petitioners – who are challenging the practice of the Election Commission – to indicate anyone illegally released from the draft list after their publication on 1 August. The bench said, “If there is an Mess exclusion, we will step into. We are overseeing this process and will step into need.” The apex court said that the voter list of January 2025 is the base on which the head is being operated. The court has set the case for further hearing on August 12-13.
