An Ibisa Hotel and music site canceled its upcoming programs after the death of two British men in its premises in separate events.
A 19 -year -old man named Gary Kelly died in a decline in Ibisa Rocks on Monday, while another man, 26 -year -old Ivan Thomson, died earlier this month.
The site said it was “deeply shocked and destroyed” from the events and had decided to stop the program of its scheduled programs due to “severity of the situation and honor for those involved”.
Spain’s civil guard told the BBC that Mr. Kelly died in the early hours after falling from the balcony, and said that his death seemed to be accidental.
Ibisa Rocks said it was working with the officials concerned.
It states: “Our guests have safety and goodness, and will always be our top priority.”
A spokesman from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) said on Monday: “We are supporting the family of a British person who has died in Spain and is in touch with local authorities.”
Mr. Kelly played ice hockey for the Scottish team Dundi Stars, who “described him as a very talented and charismatic man, which was a great future ahead of him”.
While paying tribute, the club said: “Everybody in the club is heartbroken to listen to this tragic news including players, employees, management and ownership.”
He continued: “Their loss will affect the ice hockey community and many people beyond. He will be unhappy.”
Mr. Kelly died from Aberdeen two weeks after Mr. Thomson, died at the venue on 7 July.
His mother said in a social media tribute that he was on leave with friends.
He said, “I am fully engrossed to write and tell you all, earlier this week my son Ivan was in a tragic accident, while on holiday with his friends in Ibisa and sadly,” We are all broken. ” ,
Ibisa Rock’s event calendar showed that an R&B music dance party was scheduled on Sunday.
It has not been specified how many events it is canceling, but said it would be in touch with the affected customers by email.
The site in San Antonio, west of the island, is known for offering hotel housing with its on-site music site and day pool parties.
