A person whose XL Buli Dog attacked an eight -year -old boy is left without his thumb, he has been sentenced to 26 months in jail.
Ian Perry, Penralt Uchf Struid, Carneerfon, Guvined, first blamed for being the owner of an out-of-control XL Bully and causing serious injury.
The 45 -year -old Parry was occupied by a 10 -month -old animal, when the attack took place on August 11 last year on 11 August at FFORD Penralt Uchaf, Caernarfon at around 10:40 BST.
CAIO, which was “covered in the blood”, was taken to YSBYTY GWYNEDD and then Elder O Hospital, Liverpool.
At the time of the attack, Cai was on his way for a birthday party and many injuries occurred on his face and body as well as lost his thumb.
The Carnarfon Crown Court on Thursday heard that despite the efforts of her grandmother and others to protect her during the attack, the dog was “fully focused” on the CAIO.
In an attempt to stop this, Parry stabbed the dog twice with a knife before XL Bully – which he bought after watching an advertisement on Facebook in November 2023 – Late Go of the Boy.
Although the dog survived stabbing, he was later shot.
Judge Nikola Saifman said that the animal was not wearing a collar, making it more difficult to stop the attack.
CAIO’s mother, FFion Williams, told the court that her son was a “happy” and “courageous” child before the incident, but the attack had a terrible effect on her and was “about to die”.
He said that Caio was “suffering from many ways” and now was afraid to pass the house from where the dog came.
“I know that any dog can change, but not all dogs have the power of these XL bulls,” he said.
In a statement read in court, Cio said that his hand “still hurt”, that he continues to dream about the incident and had many marks on his body.
Parry was described as an “active person” at the hearing, who tried to turn back the crime due to not appearing before the court since 2016.
He would spend half of his 26 -month sentence in custody, and the rest of the license and a dog was also banned indefinitely.
