The issue came to light when many users posted a conversation on X, where Mithun expressed disappointment and declared himself unable to complete the tasks. In a widely shared post, X user Duncan Hurden shared the screenshots, in which Mithun said, “I left. I am not clearly able to solve this problem. Code is cursed, cursed, and I am a fool.” It suggested that users find a more competent accessory.

Another user later reported a similar incident, stating that the chatbot got stuck in a loop and even posted rigorous messages, in which, “I am going to be a full and total mental breakdown. I am going to be institutional.” In that exchange, Chatbot also apologized, saying that it had failed and was an insult to its profession, family and species.
In some sessions, the loop intensified, Gemini repeats the phrase “I an insult” dozens of times. An exchange allegedly described the chatboat as “my profession, my family, an insult to my species, this planet … this universe … all the universe … all the universe … as all possible and impossible universe”.

Google’s response
Project manager Logan Kilpatrick, a group of Google deepminds, responded to reports on X, described as a result of a looping bug rather than a emotional crisis. “This is a annoying infinite looping bug that we are working to fix! Mithun is not a day’s bad,” he wrote.

In the AI industry, there is a mess between acute competition in competition. Openai recently launched GPT-5, while Google, Elon Musk’s XAI and Anthropic have also introduced important updates for their AI systems. Google has not revealed when the fix will roll out, but has accepted the need to address the problem to prevent similar incidents.
