Grace Harris once again led the victory to the London Spirit by steering a house in a stressful chase of 123 against Manchester Original in Old Trafford.
Defending champions, who won a final-ball thriller on Saturday and now won three out of three this year, deserved 56–3 after 59 balls, but Australia’s International Harris did not exclude 50 because the soul again captured the line, won three wickets and left two balls.
After swinging the match in favor of his side with a hurry to borders, Harris lost the strike and Catherine Bryas rejected Isi Wong and Charlie Dean in the frequent delivery.
Nine was needed from six balls, but Sarah Glenn, who first organized a streamlined 1–18, extended a hat-trick ball for four and run the winning run to 10 knots.
Earlier, Spirit took regular wickets to limit the original to the bottom-market clan.
The hosts were 10–2 when New Zealand’s International Meli Kerr was carried out for one and Spirit Captain Dean retaliated by 20 balls by the original skipper Beth Muni.
The West Indies International Diandra Dotin pulled the score with 36 from 30 balls, but he was caught hitting the last ball of the innings for a deep mid-wicket.
The original lives in the fifth position with one win and two defeats from their first three matches – already eight points behind the soul who leads the path.
