MPs have voted for changes in the welfare system which changes the criteria for some benefits.
After weeks of discussions, and important climb to avoid defeat in Commons by ministers, 49 Labor MPs voted against their government.
But this was not enough to defeat the bill as it was supported by 335 votes by a government majority of 260, 75.

As the Bill has been passed, now it is called the ‘Committee Stage’ by the MPs, then it will be again placed on one vote, which will again be given one vote, which is called the third reading.
