Honda, which expects to develop technical skills for a sub -ORBIL’s launch by 2029, operated a test flight of its rocket on the northern Japanese island Hokkaido.
The company said in a statement on Tuesday, “The test was successfully completed, for the first time Honda landed a rocket after reaching a height of about 300 meters (about 984 ft).”

The prototype device, about six meters (20 ft) long, landed only 37 centimeters (slightly more than one leg) from its specified landing location after a minute flight.
Honda’s statement stated that the demand for satellite launch rockets is expected to increase in the coming years, as expectations increase for “a data system in outer space”.
“Honda has chosen to take the technical challenge of developing a renewal rocket using Honda technologies collected in the development of various products and automatic driving systems,” said this.
In the future, rockets can be used to install satellite-based communication devices and monitor environmental conditions such as global warming, Honda said.
