A driver who killed a pregnant student and killed her newborn child was sentenced to 13 years in jail.
31 -year -old Renu Joseph was five months pregnant when she collided with a high -speed car by 20 -year -old Ashir Shahid, as she crossed a zebra crossing on Station Road in Lancashire’s Bumber Bridge.
Shahid of Windsar Road in Walton-Le-Dale caused dangerous driving and caused serious injury to dangerous driving.
His brother Sam Shahid was also sentenced to three years behind bars in the Preston Crown Court after being convicted for assisting a criminal.

Sam Shahid was also seen to keep his feet and upper body out of the window, while the driver several times takes both hands from the wheel and makes gun gestures.
A few minutes later, Toyota was released into a side street and covered with a sheet by the pair, before the other people took the vehicle behind the flatbed truck and dumped it in Fernworth, Greater Manchester.
Ashir Shahid was arrested a few days later and did not comment on the interview. When his phone was examined, it was found that it happened at night that he made an online discovery for “Hit and Run Human”.
A video clip on his Snapchat account also showed him singing with a shading song, it was not me and was laughing.

Ashir Shahid of Windsar Road, Walton Le Dell convicted the death and serious injury due to dangerous driving in June.

While sentenced to him, Judge Ian Anworth KC said that in the moments before the accident, the acceleration of Ashir Shahid “what you can see on a Formula 1 race track”.
He said: “Olive’s life lasted for five hours and 38 minutes. He did not live to see the morning. His mother never saw him alive.
“His life came out before actually started.”
