A helicopter has crashed into an area on the Isle of White.
The Hampshire and the Isle of White Constables were called to the scene at about 09:24 BST near Shanklin and closed the A3020 Shanklin Road.
Police say the road has been closed due to the number of emergency vehicles in attendance and the authorities have asked people to escape from the area.
The fire service and the Crew of Hampshire and the Isle of White Air Ambulance are on the scene.
The Hampshire and the Isle of White Fire and Rescue Service stated that the firefighters of Newport, Ventner and Shanklin were called to report “light aircraft”.
Four double crew ambulances, an expert paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, a significant care paramedic and operational commander were also on the spot.
