A schoolboy’s parents who were murdered by a fellow Putli on their lunchbrack have called for an order to raise the identity of his 15-year-old killer.
Harvey Villgoz, who was 15 years old, died when he was stabbed in a heart with a hunting knife at All Sant’s Catholic High School in Sheffield On 3 February.
Harvey’s killer cannot be nominated due to his age. However, the BBC and other media have applied to save the oblivion order by removing their identity.
Harvey’s Mam Caroline told the BBC that his son’s name was “tarnished” throughout the test, saying: “He was not able to speak for himself and is named. He should also be a defendant.”
Harvey’s killer was found guilty of killing him in the Sheffield Crown Court on Friday.
Trial Judge, Mrs. Justice Ellenbogen, expects to decide whether the 15 -year -old has been sentenced in October.
Harvey’s parents, who have established a young club in their memory, repeated their earlier calls to install knife arches in schools.
“Get knife arches, then educate the children about the pure devastation that the knife brings crime,” said Mrs. Wilgose.
“Children know that schools have knives. Some need to do something.”
Mrs. Wilgose, who has launched a campaign against a knife crime since the death of her son, said: “If you don’t think there is a problem, ask your child if they ever know about bringing a knife to someone.
“I think parents will be very interested in their response.”
Mrs. Wilgos said that her son escaped from school due to anxiety caused by the Koronwirus epidemic, but also due to a fear about the knife in schools.
Harvey’s Dad Mark said that the family had earlier met with Home Secretary Yett Cooper to discuss the issue.
The test heard that both boys attended the school, after a fight between two other students, he was put in the lockdown in a week before stabbing, The defendant claimed that one of the students involved in the fight was armed,
While no weapons were found, Mrs. Willgoozo said that her son had warned the family about the students carrying the knife.
“I hate him that he is known as a student who was killed,” he said.
“I did not even want to go to school that day, I was not even upset at the end. He was determined that he was leaving.”
