The leader of a former Boro Council has convicted the conservatives and has joined the UK, he said that he no longer has “faith” under the party’s leadership.
Councilor Mike Young, who had previously led the Hartlepool Boro Council, stated that he left Tories because “only the answers to improvement”.
The councilor of the Rural West Ward said that he did not want Pragati as “scooped and lost” during his time.
He becomes the fourth improvement UK councilor on the local authority, now led under the leadership of labor, and another local tori for defect. A local conservative told the BBC to “no comment” when the response was contacted.
Young was first selected in a by -election in July 2018 and captured his seat in the 2023/24 municipal year serving as a leader. He was a group leader in the council.
He said: “I no longer believe that the Conservative Party, nationally or local, can lead to meeting the challenges faced by our city and our country.
“When I worked as the leader of the Hartlepool Boro Council, we started turning the tide.
“We laid an important foundation for economic development through investment and upliftment. That progress should neither be scooped nor lost.”
In May, Amanda Nepar won the first seat for the UK improvement since 2021 with a win in the Throston by -election since 2021.
It came in the 2024 general election after Labor finished second after Jonathan Brash.
Counselor Rob Darbi improved to improve the UK from Torys in a week, stating that he was confident that the Conservative party “left him” and felt that “so many broken promises”.
The local democracy reporting service stated that the reform on the local authority was secured in the UK’s third seat by Ed Doyle in July for another seat held for another seat in July.
The Hartalpool Boro Council is now composed of 22 labor representatives, five independent, four orthodox, four reforms UK councilors and representatives of an independent union.
