Hamas says it is consulting other Palestinian groups before giving a formal response to a new Gaza ceasefire and latest resolution for the host release deal.
President Donald Trump said on Friday morning that within 24 hours it is expected to know if Hamas has agreed to the scheme.
On Tuesday, Trump said that Israel had accepted the conditions required for the 60-day ceasefire, during which the parties would work to end the 20-month war.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army is continuing the target in the Gaza Strip.
Local journalists reported to listen to explosions and bullets as Israeli helicopter Gunship and artillery hit the Dakshin Khan Younis area on Friday morning.
Local Nasar Hospital said that overnight, at least 15 Palestinians were killed in an attack on two tent houses displaced in Khan Younis.
The Israeli army has not yet commented on attacks, but it was said that its army was “working to eliminate Hamas’s military capabilities”.
In a statement released in early Friday, Hamas said it was discussing with leaders of other Palestinian groups, which was obtained from the regional mediasts Qatar and Egypt.
Hamas said that after consultation ends, it would provide a “final decision” to the mediators and then officially announce it.
The proposal is believed to have included the bodies of 10 living Israeli hostages and 18 other hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails.
Fifty hostages in Gaza are still being held, of which at least 20 are considered alive.
One of the main demands of Hamas is to resume unnecessary food and medical aid in Gaza, and the proposal reportedly states that sufficient amounts will enter the region immediately with the involvement of the United Nations and Red Cross.
It is said that the plan will also include a phased Israeli military withdrawal from some parts of Gaza.
Above all, Hamas wants a guarantee that Israeli air and ground operations will not resume after the end of the 60-day ceasefire.
This proposal is believed that the conversation and release of the remaining hostages will begin on one day at the end of the war.
Donald Trump told reporters on Friday that he hoped to know “in the next 24 hours” whether the proposals would be accepted by Hamas.
It is expected that this will be followed by a planned trip to Washington next week by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the formal, indirect, Israeli.
The US Ambassador to Israel Mike Hakabi on Thursday told Israel’s channel 12 TV, “We are sure this is a deal, but I think it’s all ready to accept Hamas.”
“One thing is clear: The President wants it to end. The Prime Minister wants it to end. The American people, the people of Israel, want to end it.”
Netanyahu promised to secure the release of all the remaining hostages during a journey of Kibutaz Neer Oz near the Israeli-Gaja border, where a total of 76 residents were abducted during the Hamas-led attack on 7 October 2023, who triggered the war.
“I feel a deep commitment, first, to ensure the return of all our hostages, all of them,” he said. “We will bring them all back.”
However, he did not commit to ending the war. He has insisted that it will not happen until the hostages are freed and Hamas’s military and glory abilities are not destroyed.
In response to the 7 October 2023 attack, the Israeli army launched a campaign in Gaza, killing around 1,200 people and 251 others were taken hostage.
According to the Hamas-Interested Health Ministry of the region, at least 57,130 people have been killed in Gaza since then.
