The Google Pixel 10 series is launching on August 20, but Pixel 10 Pro Fold cannot be available to buy by October.
Google is hosting the “Made by Google” event on August 20 to announce the new generation of Pixel model. This year’s Google lineup will include four new smartphones: Pixel 10Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and finally, Pixel 10 Pro fold. While all devices are launched this month, the foldable model has allegedly experienced a delay, and it cannot go for sale until October. There are also speculation that Google may launch the Pixel 10 devices in two phases, with non-foldable models launching in August, and in October later foldable models with other wearing products.
Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold 5G launch delayed
According to Winfuture Report, Google is expected to delay availability Pixel 10 Pro Fold Model, Google Pixel Watch 4 and Google Pixel Buds 2A till 9 October 2025. While these products are expected to be unveiled at the launch event of August 20, they cannot immediately go up for sale like other Pixel 10 models. It was suggested that Pixel 10, Pixel 10 ProAnd Pixel 10 Pro XL will be available to pre-order immediately after launch, sales with expectation of being live on August 28.
The report further states that Google is facing problems with foldable smartphones and supply chain for wearable equipment. This supply chain delay is due to limited availability of many new components. For example, the Pixel 10 Pro folds allegedly have a new display and Kaj mechanism. The foldable is expected to offer wireless charging through Q2 standard and an IP68 rating for water and dust protection. Therefore, bringing these new elements of the device is said to take more time than expected.
Now, if rumors are true, Pixel 10 Pro fold buyers may have to wait long to get their hands on foldable or Google Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2A. Apart from the delay, all new devices are expected to get major upgrades on their predecessors. The Pixel 10 series model is expected to be operated by a tensor G5 chip, which is made with the TSMC’s 3Nm process. In addition, Google is also informed to bring up the cameras and new AI features to buyers.
