On Wednesday, Google announced new personalization features for the Gemini app, with a chat -like memory features and temporary chat that is not visible in history. These will make the new addition Mithun app more individual and safe for users who want to maintain their privacy.
Gemini’s memory feature is being called “personal reference”, where AI chatbott will miss important details and preferences from previous conversations, allowing users to have more relevant interactions with Gemini. In addition, the feature also gives users the ability to manage and remove their interactions.
On the other hand, Gemini’s temporary chat feature will allow users to have a quick interaction, but this will not appear in their recent chat or Gemini app activity. This feature is similar to the temporary chat feature of the chat, where some conversations do not appear in chat history.

Google also assured that this temporary chat would not be used to personalize your Gemini experience or to train Google’s AI model. ” However, these chats will be saved up to 72 hours for reactions and alternative reactions.
Other major updates on the Gemini app will include changing the name of “Mithun Apps Activity” for “keeping activity”. The conversations saved in this tab will be used to improve Google services. However, users can close this setting, or recommend using Google new temporary chat feature.
