Emergency services have stepped up to help replenish the enclosure of the penguin after drying in hot weather.
Glosterchyire Fire and Rescue and Temes Water joined the forces on Tuesday 19 August to help the Borton-on-the-quarter to help the Borton-on-the-quarter to help the Birdland Park and Garden.
The Temes Water currently has a hospipe ban in the GL Postcode area.
Birdland General Manager Simon Cox said they are “incredibly grateful” for support during the challenging weather conditions. The park is the only group of King Penguin of England.
Deputy Chief Fire Officer Nathaniel Huteon, for the Glosterchire Fire and Rescue Service, said: “We are always proud to support our local communities in any way.”
A spokesperson for Tems Water said: “We have recently seen the fourth heatwave of the year and the conditions in spring and summer months are incredibly dry.
“We are really able to help the Penguin community of Burdland by re -filling our pool after long -term dry weather effects and thanks both Burdland and Gloster Serire for their support to both fire and rescue service.”
