According to a letter received by Fox News Digital, after weighing his request by the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court is delaying Ghislane Maxwell’s planned statement after the Supreme Court weighs his request to reverse his conviction.
The investigators of the committee were designed to travel to a Talhasi jail for August 11 with Maxwell, as the MPs voted for late Podophile Jeffrey Epstein to vote to fulfill their close relationships.
In a letter sent to the Comer earlier this week, Maxwell’s lawyer claimed that he “did not get a fair test” and filed a petition to delay the date of statement until his case before the Supreme Court was resolved.
“On July 30, the US Supreme Court noticed your petition for the writ of certificate will be considered at its conference on 29 September. In the light of this notice, the committee is ready to delay your statement by a date after a date after the court’s certificate determination,” the Cummer wrote on Friday.

According to a letter from Kentki Republican, Maxwell’s lawyer warned that it would call for a fifth amendment to avoid answering any question until certain conditions were met.
“These conditions include: (1) a grant of immunity, (2) FCI Talhasi’s statement, (3) access to the questions of the committee, and (4) conclusion of your recent appeal for the US Supreme Court and a possible future habis petition.”
He denied his requests for the immunity of the Congress and to receive the questions in advance, but wrote that the committee is “engaged in good trust talks.”
Comer also vowed that the committee would honor the “detailed discussion about being engaged and scopping in its long -standing practice.
In late July, Maxwell was released after a unanimous vote by both Republican and Democrats in the committee.

“Your testimony is important for the efforts of the committee about Mr. Jeffrey Epstein, including the 2007 non-exercise agreement and the circumstances around the death of Shri Epstein,” the Commerce wrote. “These investigative efforts can be used to inform the potential law to improve federal efforts to deal with sexual trafficking and to improve the use of non-ex-other agreements and/or petition agreements in sex-crime investigation.”
Fox News came to know that Maxwell was transferred from Florida to a federal jail camp in Bryan, Texas.

Congress investigators are trying to talk with Maxwell on their long -standing ties for Epstein, who were waiting to prosecute sex trafficking allegations for death in a jail in New York City in 2019.
According to a press release by the southern district of New York, Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in jail in June 2022.
In a request of the delay, Maxwell’s lawyer argued that “whatever testimony he now provides, he can compromise his constitutional rights, prejudicate his legal claims, and potentially suppress the future jury pool.”
Maxwell met with federal investigators last week when Deputy Attorney General Tod Blancing sat with him in Talhasi under the direction of American Attorney General Palm Bandi.

Announcing the meeting, Bandy said in a statement, “President Trump has asked us to issue all reliable evidence. If Ghislane Maxwell knows about anyone committing crimes against the victims, the FBI and DOJ will hear what he has to say.”
Maxwell’s lawyers told Fox News in response to Comer’s letter, “We accept the letter of Chairman Commerce and appreciate the wishes of the committee to delay Ms. Maxwell’s statement, while their case is pending before the Supreme Court. We will continue to join the Congress to find a way to find a way for Ms. Maxwell.”
