The government has agreed to plans to allow about 40 students in Gaza to come to UK in the coming weeks.
Nine has been told that they will be assisted to leave Gaza to pursue scholarship under the shaving scheme, mainly for international students to study one year master’s degree.
The BBC understands that the Home Secretary has also approved a plan to help about 30 other people, who have a fully funded scholarship through other private schemes.

A home office source described the plan as a “complex and challenging”, but said that the Home Secretary made it “crystal clear” that she wanted the students to pick up their places in Britain “.
