Cullyhanna Gac has stated that Pierce Casey on Sunday has “making very good progress” in the hospital after a head injury in the Armagh Senior Football Championship Game against Mulgbon.
Casey faced an injury to a challenge with an opposing player after just four minutes of the Group B game in Mullagabon, which led to a long stagnation and abandoning the game.
KC was the captain when the South Armag Club won the 2024 All-Ayland Intermediate Club Football Championship, which kicked a point in the final against Cork’s Sil Na Martra at Crock Park.
In a statement on Monday evening, Kulihana said: “We are happy and feel relieved that Pears is making great progress and getting the best possible care at the Royal Hospital at Belfast.
“We wish Pierce wishes because he continues his recovery. St. Patrick will continue to do everything to support Peirs and his family that are very grateful to all the kindness he received.
“We are in the Casey family, who reiterate their honest gratitude to all those who helped Pieres, Hospital Employees, Air Ambulance personnel, medical and support staff who participated in Peers on the pitch, the match officials and the entire Mulgbon Club thanks to their Stewards and Pierce for specialized expertise.”
