A priest who was at the funeral of Stephen Branigan Murdered in a house in county“Culture of aggression and violence” is condemned, he said that “creeping like cancer” through society.
The 56 -year -old was found dead in a house in Marion Park in Downpatrick on Sunday 10 August.
The funeral service took place at St. Brigade Church in the city.

“I’m the only one that feels that through our families, our towns and our society’s bones, there is a growing culture of aggression and violence like cancer, with nothing and no one is more sacred?
“I’m the only one who craves for a little greater gentleness, a little more citizenship, a little more courtesy, a little more neighbor and the community, and a little more compassion and care?”
Always ready to help
In a statement on Monday, the family of Mr. Branigan said He was known as someone among his neighbors and friends who was always ready to help And “whatever is needed to do for the good of others, ready to do”.
A day before he died, he was tend to be for friends’ tombs while visiting the tomb of his late wife, Doranda, “as he did, almost every day”.
Mr. Branigan was remembered as a “cute cute” husband, who was the “very loving” father of two daughters and the “loving grandfather” of six in his death notice.
The family also “thanked those who have surrounded us with such love and care”.
